Why use corrugated?

• Corrugated cardboard has a recycling rate of 84% in the UK. This is the highest recycling rate of any type of packaging in the UK;
• as a direct result, every four months an area the size of Greater London is saved from landfill.
• On average, corrugated boxes manufactured in the UK are made from 76% recycled fibre.
• The recycling of paper is not a new concept and the industry is proud of its recycling heritage that started over 100 years ago.
• The recycling loop is so efficient that an old box can be recycled, remade and reused in just two weeks.
• Corrugated boxes are biodegradable and in some cases this will be the preferred disposal method. Consumers can take this opportunity where recycling facilities are not yet available.

What board grade to use?

There are many different grades available. Several factors will determine which grade to use, such as the weight of a product, how it will be stacked on a pallet, how it is transported, style of case, type of print, purpose of the packaging etc. Dairi-Pak has experience through the entire supply chain and can advise which grade is most suited for your product.

What style to use?

Designs can range from simple transit cases to complicated shelf ready or point of sale displays; they can be a standard style from the FEFCO range, or a bespoke design unique to the product. The type of style is also determined by the supply chain, how is it transported and where it will be used. Dairi-Pak can design packaging from just a simple idea using state of the art KASEMAKE Design software, our designers can present structural designs in flat 2D and full colour 3D visuals, and generate a physical sample from the cutting table.

What size?

The size is not only governed by the product itself and the number required per box, but sometimes needs to take into account the way that it will be transported. Dairi-Pak are able to size packaging to suit products of all shapes and utilise specialist software to calculate the most efficient fit on a pallet.

When can I have delivery?

Dairi-Pak has very short lead times, sourcing raw materials from suppliers on demand using a modern ordering system for next day delivery. Brand new products can be generated very quickly, once we have established your requirement, quoted and had our samples approved, packaging can be with you typically within 2-5 days depending on whether cutting tools and print stereos are required.
